Here are the best books for bloggers

The Best Books for Bloggers

“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write.” Even Stephen King knows the power of reading. If you are going to call yourself a writer, blogger, or content creater, you need to continue reading.

Below are the best books for bloggers that I found that shaped me into a much better writer. If you have one in mind that is not on this list, add it to the comments section!

Blog Inc.

I read this back when I first started getting serious about making a profit blogging and I still use the insights learned. This covers at lot of the earlier stages of starting a blog, from picking a domain name to an overview of how to monetize your blog.

I highly recommend all beginner blogs to start here!

The One Hour Content Plan

This book takes longer than an hour to get through, but that is because you are being guided through planning your future blog posts in a thorough way.

I read this book when I first started my blog journey and actually just received it in the mail in a entrepreneur subscription box. I was so excited because I can’t wait to go through this planning process again with this blog!

The first time I read it, I was using my kindle and distinctly remember being annoyed that I couldn’t put easy to navigated tabs on all the incredible content.

The Business Boutique

Christy Wright’s Business Boutique does not directly discuss blogging, but it absolutely belongs on this list.

My mission is to help you treat your blog like a business so it can make money like a business… and this is the book that inspired me the most!

I was fortunate enough to hear Christy speak at Dave Ramsey’s Entreleadership event. (If you have heard of the Debt Snowball, Total Money Makeover, or envelope budget system, that is Dave Ramsey)

Everybody Writes

Your Go-To Guide to Creating Ridiculously Good Content

This is one of those books that you can’t just read through and be okay with retaining the knowledge. You have to be committed to the advice if you want it to make an impact.

Every profession in the business world needs to know how to effectively tell a story and sell their ideas, and that is where this book comes in.

The Essential Habits Of 6-Figure Bloggers: Secrets of 17 Successful Bloggers You Can Use to Build a Six-Figure Online Business

This is one of those books that you can’t just read through and be okay with retaining the knowledge. You have to be committed to the advice if you want it to make an impact.

DotCom Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Growing Your Company Online

I actually just had a weird feeling as I was typing this paragraph and recommending this book. Because to be honest, I have never read a book where someone gives THIS MUCH valuable information.

The whole time, I felt like I was reading the opposing team’s playbook or someone’s diary. I actually hesitated to put this on here because it almost felt like a secret I wasn’t supposed to tell.

Content That Converts

Again, this is a book that is all about making money with your blog, not satisfying a need for a hobby.

When we are talking about blogs, everything that goes on a blog is called “content marketing.” That is term you would hear in the real world, so don’t let the absence of the word “blog” keep you from reading this.
